What Therapy Looks Like With Us

Every person is different, so our therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Together, we co-create a space that meets your unique needs and goals. All of our staff have devoted much of our careers to supporting the needs of college students and young adults – we love this developmental stage! At Prism, you can be assured that we understand the complexities of young adulthood, and how to help you find some relief from the struggle.

What can I expect in therapy?

At Prism, our work is based in Feminist, Relational, and Trauma informed modalities. This means sessions aren’t highly structured and skills based, but instead feel like a genuine conversation with a supportive, real, person. We will laugh with you, be with you in your despair, confusion or fear, and provide a genuine relationship within which you can heal. We may explore your family of origin, traumatic experiences, or current struggles like dating school, work, friendships, and identity exploration.

This is your space to be real. To be seen. To be supported as you grow—not into someone else, but more fully into yourself.

Therapy Is Not About “Fixing” You

You are not broken. Therapy is not about “fixing” who you are—it’s about healing what hurts, unpacking what you’ve learned in your life that feels like it no longer serves you, and creating a life that feels more aligned with your values, desires, and truth.

We honor all parts of you—the messy, the hurting, the brave, the unsure. Every part is welcome here. You don’t have to fit a mold to be worthy of care. If you’ve ever felt “too much” or “not enough,” therapy can be a space where you learn to reclaim your own narrative.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

At Prism, we are here to support you with care, authenticity, and curiosity—always honoring your unique story and the wisdom you already carry.
